(Some things to look for when it comes
to human Trafficking Victims )
1.Victim is promised “ good job” but the job is different from what
was promised
2.Victim or their family members pays recruiting fee / Victim is sold /
3.Victim is kidnapped/coerced or forced into migrating
4.Victim is coerced into signing contracts/ or does not know terms of work.
5.Given instructions on the type of clothing/jeweler to be worn during the migration
6.Instructed to identify to match the falsified documents especially to the
immigration officers.
7. Has no control on their documentation – before, during and after migration

The questions below are desined to determine whether someone is a victim of
human traffiking,
however if you should suspect someone is being trafficked please contact your
local Demestic Violence Agency
and or federal human traffiking hotline for what you should do next.
Questions To Consider
1. Is the person free to leave the work site?
2. Is the person physically, sexually or psychologically abused?
3. Does the person have a passport or valid I.D. card and is he/she in
possession of such documents?
4. What is the pay and conditions of employment?
5. Does the person live at home or at/near the work site?
6. How did the individual arrive to this destination if the suspected victim
is a foreign national?
7. Has the person or a family member of this person been threatened?
8. Does the person fear that something bad will happen to him or her, or to
a family member, if he/she leaves the job?
